OgeSync is operated by Chukwunonso Ukwandu, a sole trader based in Nigeria, under the brand name "OgeSync." When we say "we," "us," or "OgeSync," we mean this business.

We collect different data depending on how you use OgeSync:

If you create an account (brand/organiser):

• Email address and name (when you sign up)
• Calendar and event content you create
• Payment information (processed securely by Paystack — we never see your full card number)
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, timestamps

If you subscribe to a calendar (end-subscriber):

• We do not require you to create an account
• We collect a hashed fingerprint (a scrambled combination of your IP address and browser type) to count unique subscribers — this cannot be used to identify you personally
• Feed access logs: which calendar was accessed, when, and how often
• Click tracking: which calendar provider button you tapped (Google, Apple, Outlook)

Automatically collected:

• IP address (for security and analytics)
• Browser type and device information
• Pages visited and timestamps

• To provide the service: delivering calendar feeds, managing your account, processing payments
• To improve OgeSync: understanding how people use the platform so we can make it better
• To communicate with you: sending important updates about your account, responding to support requests
• To prevent abuse: detecting spam, enforcing our Acceptable Use Policy, and protecting our users
• To count subscribers: giving calendar owners accurate (but anonymous) subscriber counts

We use trusted third-party services to run OgeSync. Each processes data according to their own privacy policies:

• Supabase — database and authentication
• Vercel — website hosting and delivery
• Resend — transactional emails
• Paystack — payment processing (planned)

We do not sell your data to anyone. We do not share your personal information with advertisers.

• Account data: kept for as long as your account is active, and deleted within 30 days of account deletion
• Feed access logs: kept for 12 months, then automatically deleted
• Subscriber fingerprints: kept for 12 months from last access
• Payment records: kept for 7 years as required by Nigerian tax law

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct any inaccurate data
• Delete your account and associated data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Object to processing of your data

We comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) and the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. We process your data lawfully, fairly, and transparently. We collect only what is necessary to provide our service.

As a data controller, we are responsible for protecting your data. If you believe your data protection rights have been violated, you may lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

If you are visiting from the European Union or European Economic Area, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Our legal basis for processing your data is: legitimate interest (providing and improving our service), contractual necessity (fulfilling our service to you), and consent (where you have explicitly opted in).

OgeSync is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16 years old. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us with personal data, please contact us at ify@ogesync.com and we will delete it promptly.

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords, and secure database hosting. However, no system is 100% secure. If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it to ify@ogesync.com.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or by placing a prominent notice on our website. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
