Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 22 April 2026

This document is provided for informational purposes. By using OgeSync, you agree to these terms.

1. Why this matters

OgeSync delivers events directly into people's personal calendars — a private, trusted space. We take this responsibility seriously. This policy exists to make sure every calendar on OgeSync is something subscribers actually want and can trust.

2. Prohibited content

You must not publish calendars or events that contain:

  • Spam — repetitive, misleading, or bulk content designed to deceive
  • Scams or phishing — fake events, misleading links, or attempts to steal personal information
  • Malware links — links to viruses, ransomware, or other harmful software
  • Illegal activity — anything that violates Nigerian law or the law in your jurisdiction
  • Hate speech or harassment — content that targets individuals or groups based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or ethnicity
  • Adult or sexual content — pornographic or sexually explicit material
  • Content that exploits minors — any content involving the exploitation or abuse of children
  • Copyright infringement — content you do not have the right to publish
  • Impersonation — pretending to be another person, brand, or organisation

3. Prohibited behaviour

You must not:

  • Add subscribers without their consent — people must choose to subscribe to your calendar themselves
  • Resell or redistribute the OgeSync platform or any part of it
  • Scrape data from OgeSync or other users' calendars
  • Abuse the iCal feed — for example, using it to deliver non-calendar content or to track individuals
  • Attempt to bypass rate limits, security measures, or account restrictions
  • Interfere with the platform's operation or other users' experience
  • Create multiple free accounts to circumvent plan limits

4. Reporting violations

If you see a calendar or event on OgeSync that you believe violates this policy, please report it to ify@ogesync.com. Include the calendar name or URL and a brief description of the issue. We review all reports and will take action within 48 hours.

5. What happens if you violate this policy

We follow a graduated enforcement approach:

  1. Warning — for minor or first-time violations, we will contact you and ask you to fix the issue
  2. Suspension — for repeated violations, we may temporarily suspend your account and disable your calendars
  3. Permanent ban — for serious or continued violations, we will permanently remove your account and all associated content

We reserve the right to remove any calendar or event that violates these rules without prior notice, particularly in cases involving illegal content, scams, or harm to subscribers.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated by email or a notice on our website. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when this policy was last revised.
